Hyaluronic Acid with Lilac Stem Cells Serum

Mar 27, 2015

Out of all the skin care products on the market devised to keep our skin from aging prematurely hyaluronic acid is one that I haven’t really heard much about until recently. According to Natures Tools USA, their Hyaluronic Acid with Lilac Stem Cells Serum does everything a women needs in a skin care product. It’s supposed to remove fine lines and wrinkles thanks to the collagen stimulation, it reduces blackheads, shrinks your pores and helps get rid of blemished left behind by acne. The company also says that this product keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized. Those are all some pretty big claims from just one serum that’s being sold for less than $25.

Even with a bit of skepticism I decided to give this product a try anyway. Luckily my skin is the type that isn’t very sensitive to products and something will either work well or do absolutely nothing, but it won’t make my skin worse or cause me to break out. I used the product as directed: I washed my face with my cleanser and exfoliator, added the serum to my face and neck and just waited. My skin didn’t feel heavy or tight which I liked and I didn’t feel a burning sensation.

After two weeks of use I did notice that some blemishes were starting to fade and my skin was looking a bit better without having to use my tinted moisturizer so I was relay happy about that. One thing I know that’s for sure is that I’ll keep using it because I need all the help I can get if I want to keep wrinkles at bay!

Microbiome Plus Probiotic Giveaway

As I’ve mentioned on this blog before, I’m not a massive fan of taking supplements because sometimes I don’t feel it’s worth what they can do to my stomach as well as other random side effects that can pop up.

I’ve reviewed products by Microbiome before and the main takeaway from this and the previous product is that my sensitive stomach isn’t affected by them. I don’t have issues with my blood pressure or cholesterol so I can’t attest to how this works for that. I do however like that it has probiotics because everyone can benefit from making sure their insides are nice and balanced.

This Microbiome Plus Heart Probiotic package came with a 1 month supply, separated into weekly boxes and you’re asked to take one pill with two of your daily meals. This isn’t a bad deal for someone that’s into taking probiotics and is tired of eating yogurt in order to keep their digestive system on point. You can grab the one month supply at Amazon or, you can get one for free courtesy of Microbiome Plus + by entered the giveaway below:

Swiss Botany Vitamin C Serum & Moroccan Oil Giveaway

Mar 15, 2015

I'm a huge fan of serums and oils as part of a great skin or hair care regiment because they're usually natural ways to help achieve what we're looking for. In this care Swiss Botany's Vitamin C Serum is great for the skin and their Moroccan Pure Argan Oil, while advertised for all over use, is one of my new go-to haircare products.

I've been using (and promoting) Vitamin C for skin care because of it's use as an antioxidant. It's a great product if you want to clear your skin of toxins and helps slow down the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles which we all want, right?

What I like about Swiss Botany's serum is the consistency. It's not too thick or thin and really seems to seep into the skin and gets to work. Added to my skin care regiment my skin is just as smooth and healthy as before and I can go a day or two without using my fancy scrubber and I still feel like my skin is perfect.

Moroccan Oil has been in my life since I went to Manchester, England in 2011 and was desperate to get my hair done. After calling tons of places to see if they knew how to deal with my specific type of hair I found a great spot where the stylist used Moroccan Oil to give me a healthy shine, defrizz my hair and gave me a nice bouncy look without having to kill my hair with heat. Not that I'm not a fan of heat but if it's done wrong it can be hell! On my own I like to use this oil when I'm drying my hair because it seems to give it a great sheen without looking or feeling greasy after. Then I apply some on the following days when I do touch ups with the flat iron but I'm careful not to use too much to avoid weighing my hair down.

So as promised...another fun giveaway! If you want em both just enter below and if you're lucky they're all yours!

So let me know how you plan on making the best of these two products and they're all yours!

Intelliglass iPhone Shield

Mar 12, 2015

I'm the kind of person that hates having a case on my phone. Not because I don't like having a case but because I haven't been able to commit to one. But regardless of not having a case to protect the back of my phone, I def needed one to protect the front and that's where the Intelliglass iPhone Shield came in.

I like that these protectors are super thin and don't distort the view of my screen at all. It was really easy to put in too. I just had to wipe my phone, carefully place it and voila. Done! I'm normally super careful with my phone so I haven't had any scratches but with this protector one I feel like I can be a little laid back and not be overzealous with it.

It's a really good by and helps save lots of money because replacing a cracked screen is pretty much a nightmare!

If you want a chance to try one of these out, leave a comment below and the company will send you one ASAP!!!

Infuser Water Bottle

Mar 6, 2015

I've become pretty big on infusing water with lemon, cranberries, ginger and lime for the past few months ever since I got an awesome infusion water bottle. I know I have to drink a lot of water but it gets really boring after a few bottles so I went on the hunt for water bottles that were not only cute but that could get filled with fruits and herbs to add a little flavor to plain old H2O.

Being that I live in SoCal I know all about how bad plastics are and how they contain chemicals that can seep into the water in the bottles and all that jazz so I was happy to know that this bottle I received from Live Infinitely is BPA free and while this is not a glass bottle it happens to be shatterproof which is a must for me.

I really like how good this bottle is to naturally flavor water. It keeps the fruits, herbs or veggies in the bottom so that my water is constantly getting their flavor all while keeping them from clogging up the spout.

Reusable Silicone Muffin Baking Cups

Mar 3, 2015

It's no secret that I loved to bake. If I could get paid to master the art of baking I totally would. Sadly, that is not the case. It won't stop me from trying though!

I've always been big on cakes thanks to my mom being a super amazing baker (and decorator) but didn't get into cupcakes until a few years back when they kind of became the craze. I remember my first cupcake experiment was a Christmas tree pullout cake that was super cute but leaves much to be desired. But yea, my love of cupcakes took off from there.

One thing that always killed me about making them was the liners. Even the pricey ones that claimed to not fade faded and became kind of worthless. When I decorate something, I like it to be done from top to bottom so burned or faded cupcake liners were always disappointing. These silicone cups by Connecticut Cupakes changed everything though! I've never used reusable liners before because I hadn't really heard of them. I've been a bit out of the baking loop since I moved to LA  so maybe that's the reason.

These liners are pretty damn awesome. They fit perfectly into my muffin tin and when I poured the batter into them they didn't get distorted. I made a few test cupcakes to take to work and my coworkers were loving them. They loved the cupcakes but especially the liners! I'm headed to NYC soon and am taking them with me because I know my little cousin will fall in love with them and we will be making muffins and cupcakes until she gets sick of them. I'm really excited for her to see them. The colors in these are really bright, the cake doesn't get stuck to the silicone and they're really easy to clean. Totally love this addition to my kitchen and it makes me want to bake a whole lot more.

Portable Charging Stick

Mar 2, 2015

Here's another charging stick that I was given the pleasure of trying out a few weeks ago: Portable Chimps Charging Stick. Well no, not really. It arrived at the same time that my cousin surprised me from NYC and since she was driving around LA, taking pictures like a tourist, I gave her the stick to tell me if it would really do the job of keeping her iPhone charged.

The Answer was yes. Not only did she love how slim it was and the fact that it had a cute carrying pouch but she loved the speed in which it charged her phone. Once it hit 25% she plugged the Charger Stick in and was able to shoot video, take tons of pics, constantly update her social media accounts with her whereabouts.

There isn't tons to say about this aside from the fact that it didn't take long to get charged up and it didn't disappoint when it came to putting it to the test. I'm excited to give this one a try myself now that it's back in my possession!
