Fidget Spinners are all the rage these days and even though they've been around for a while I've never heard of them until recently though and because they're so popular I idecided to see what the hell they were all about.
It turns out they're more than just something to keep kids distracted in school with and they claim to be really good for people with ADHD or anything that makes someone, you know, fidget. Now after reading up on these and what people originally used them for i thought I'd give them a try.
I'm not a natural fidgety person but I am on medication that makes me really antsy sometimes. I have my moments where I rock back and forth slightly, I tap my desk with my fist without even thinking and I just have to move sometimes. So isn't this the perfect thing for someone like me? I think so.
After looking at a bunch of different ones and having a few sent over to me I finally gave this one by Hit Rover a shot because I adored the color. Yea, THAT'S the reason! But seriously, the rose gold color is great and I like the way the material feels against my hands. Plastic ones are gross and get warm super fast. Having a cold metal one reminds me that I'm using it.
So far I've been using it for a few weeks and I think it's kinda fun. I keep it in my bag at all times for those moments when I'm super bored or can feel an antsy moment kicking in. For now, I am going to keep it with me because I did find that it kinda helped one time when I was feeling really anxious, like it distracted the anxiety away, so that's a great thing for me. These things are no substitute for any kind of medication or treatment for anything that causes someone to be antsy but it's a nice temporary fix. Plus, it's kinda all the rage!
